What was Firebug?

Firebug was a free and open-source web development tool that allowed developers to inspect, edit, and debug HTML, CSS, and JavaScript on web pages. It was available as a Firefox add-on and was very popular among web developers.

When was Firebug discontinued?

Firebug was officially discontinued on March 6, 2017. The developers announced that they would no longer be working on the project and advised users to switch to Firefox's built-in developer tools.

Why was Firebug discontinued?

The functionality provided by Firebug was integrated into Firefox's built-in developer tools, which meant that there was no longer a need for a separate add-on.
